We all sit in the comfort of what we know from time to time, but sometimes we need to MOVE, and the smallest things tend to get in our way - for me, if you've heard me talk of this structure, it is a pen!!
We come up with reasons to not step into the unknown, we climb the ladder and do all the "safe" things we need to do, but we reach the end of the diving board we just can't seem to jump off into the water, because we don't know what life will be like from that point on. So, we find a reason to do something else, we find a reason to not be ready just yet, we tell ourselves we are close but just need to xyz first....
The thing is .... jumping from what we *know we know* into what we *know we don't know* is the only way to expand our awareness - making our circle of knowledge bigger and bigger, every time we jump! Its probably what all the people you admire and respect and want to be like do!
Hang tight with me while i explain it here....
When we move from *know you know* to *know you don't know* it becomes what you *know you know* and what you *don't know you don't know* filters into our awareness becoming what we know we don't know*

Procrastination tip!

I struggled with this one! You know when you have that thing you need to do, but you jsut keep letting the days go by without getting it done? You always find other things that need to be done, and so you do them, and say to yourself 'and I'll do 'that other thing' after Ive done this"... and the 'thing' you need to do just hangs over your head until you don't even know where to start to get it done and all these things make that thing overwhelming?

Brian Tracey's book 'Eat that frog' is awesome and I highly recommend it!!

For me i found that if i at least made myself take 2 steps toward getting the thing done each day - I started to feel miles ahead of "not doing the thing' and before i knew it I often enjoyed completing that task!!

JUST DO IT!

It''l suck at the start but you'll feel SO GOOD once you start it - and even better when its ticked off your to do list!

BOOM!

Too often we allow our circumstance to dictate our emotions. What if today you thought of just one way to make your day better? What would be different for you?
Can you think of a way that your job could provide you with more fun, more satisfaction and more energy? You CAN take back your control by shifting just one action, one thought process or daily habit. Be true to who you are and how you actually want to show up each day, and DO that - don't let circumstance dictate it.

Burnout! 🥵
Apparently 'Job burn out' isn't a diagnosed medical condition 😩 Researchers have found that it is often more than likely that 'job burn out' is linked to other factors such as personality traits and potentially stressful family/personal life. 💔

Those of us that have worked in stressful job situations know that whether the Job burn out is medically recognised or not it definitely has an impact on our performance. 🎭

Some consequences of job burnout can be an increase in stress levels, insomnia, fatigue, sadness, anger - all of these can have a massive impact on your health and wellbeing. 🩺⛑
And then there are these that also come with job burn out: procrastination, sadness, anger, inability to complete tasks, excuses, blame - These all have an effect on our self awareness, our self belief and sabotages our success. 😰😞

Where does it come from and how to we get it to stop?

It comes from....

🧐FEAR of the unknown

🫣FEAR of rejection

🥺FEAR of not being good enough.

ALL can be rectified with strong company &/or personal values such as:

1. Kindness
2. Acceptance of all others
3. Being vulnerable / taking risks

And its also handy to have a safety person, like a HR rep, that people can go to if they are feeling any issues arise
