AIMS GAMES — HERE WE COME!
We are very proud of our boys who will soon be representing Pukekohe Christian School at the upcoming AIMS Games! ⚽️
Getting a team to AIMS is an exciting opportunity, but it also takes the support of an amazing community behind them. We are incredibly grateful to the wonderful sponsors who have supported our team and helped make this experience even more special. T
Their generosity means our boys can head to AIMS looking sharp, feeling proud and knowing that their community is behind them every step of the way.
To each of our sponsors, Quinovic Pukekohe - Property Management, FERS Ltd, and Living Being Well Pukekohe, thank you! Your support is making a real difference, and we truly appreciate you investing in our students and in this incredible opportunity for them.
We would also like to wish our boys all the very best for AIMS Games! Go out there, represent our school with pride, give it your all, encourage one another and most importantly — enjoy every moment!

Pukekohe North Wastewater Upgrades

Kia ora

We are progressing well with our upgrade of the wastewater network in Pukekohe and this email will update you on some of the work happening soon and how it will affect you.

This e-mail covers works in Isabella Drive, Franklin Road and Station Road.

Isabella Drive

Further to previous emails regarding the work that was due to start on Monday 10 August, these have been delayed and will begin on Monday 24 August.

The work requires a full closure of a section the road and restrictions to parking. Our team will work with residents to ensure they can access their homes.

These works are expected to finish in November.

Franklin Road

The pipe in Franklin Road will be installed using both trenchless and open trenching methods. This means that in some areas the team will close a section of the road, dig a trench, install the new pipeline, before reinstating the worksite and moving along to the next section. In other areas the pipe will be drilled through the ground between specially excavated pits but still require lane closure.

How will this affect you?

To allow the team to work safely, Franklin Road will be closed to northbound traffic between Franklin Leisure Centre and Reynolds Road. The southbound lane from Cape Hill Roundabout up to Stadium Drive will remain open and there will be diversions in place. Please follow all signage.

During the road closure, street parking will be very limited. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Work along Franklin Road will begin on Monday 24 August 2026. This stage of work is expected to finish in November 2026. We will be back at a later date to finish the end of Franklin Road to Stadium Drive.

Our general working hours are Monday to Saturday, 7am-5pm. During working hours, general construction noise, vibrations, and increased vehicle movements should be expected. We will ensure our work is kept within our consented limits.

On occasion, night work may need to take place. We will notify impacted residents ahead of time.

During this work, an approved traffic management plan (TMP) will be in place. Our traffic controllers will be located along the road to help you during working hours. You will notice changes such as:
Reduced on-street parking
Reduced speeds
Diversions in place.

Station Road

We are currently working on Station Road, Pukekohe, and had expected to finish by the end of July 2026. However, due to unexpected ground conditions, including peat soils, high groundwater levels, and the need for additional geotechnical assessments, progress has been slower than planned.

How will this affect you?

Due to these delays, we now expect works on this section of Station Road to be completed by the end of September 2026.

The current traffic management plan has been extended to reflect this updated schedule.

Resident access within the closure will be maintained.

Alternative parking will continue to be available for the approximately 50 parking spaces on Station Road that are temporarily unavailable while works are underway. Once this section of work is complete the team will move North along Station Road to install another section of this important wastewater infrastructure.

Traffic controllers will be on site during working hours to assist road users and residents.

We will continue to have:
Stop/go traffic management
Partial road closure on Station Road
Road diversions
Reduced parking
Reduced speeds
To keep everyone safe, please follow all signs, light signals, and traffic directions. We appreciate that traffic management and reduced parking does cause delays and is frustrating to the community and want to thank you for patience and understanding while these essential works are being carried out.

During open trenching, access to private property may be temporarily impacted. Our contractors will speak to impacted residents ahead of time.
