It's the collaboration we didn't know we needed! Hot Yoga Asylimb and Xtreme MMA of Pukekohe.

Is Xtreme the martial arts school based in Nelson Street? Yes it is... and no it's absolutely not!

Xtreme is community, Xtreme is for all ages and abilities, Xtreme is top notch training supported by qualified teachers. Xtreme is a bespoke facility where you can develop at your own pace improving your mind and body. In fact Xtreme is all the things we pride ourselves on and therefore a perfect partner.

Starting very soon Ian will become a visiting teacher at Xtreme, where he'll be teaching yoga classes and sharing the benefits of improved breath work, targeted strength and stability, flexibility, injury prevention, recovery and much more. In time we'll be inviting HYA students to join these Xtreme classes too.
The big idea driving us is Hot Yoga Asylimb and Xtreme collaborating will help each other in order to ultimately help both our memberships.

Some Xtreme members are already familiar with what we do and attend classes. They are champing at the bit to get going. Hopefully many more will soon experience the benefits of our yoga style. Soon you'll get the chance to see what Xtreme is all about and maybe think it might be right for some of your friends and family.

Jesse Shearer 🔥

Young Jesse made the trip across to Sydney to compete in the Australian Grappling Federation MMA competition, and he put on a performance to be proud of.

His first fight was a dominant display, controlling the fight with an outstanding ground game and dictating where the fight took place.

In his second bout, he finished early with a mounted guillotine, showing composure and confidence when the opportunity presented itself.

What stood out just as much was the improvement in his striking and distance management. He’s becoming more well-rounded every time he competes.

Two fights. Two wins. Two impressive performances.

Jesse is putting the work in, and it’s starting to show. This kid has a serious future ahead of him.

Keep working. Keep learning. Keep moving forward.

Our Youth Program is something we’re incredibly proud of. 👊

Every week these mats are packed with young legends learning far more than just martial arts.

They’re building confidence, discipline, resilience, respect and the belief that they can overcome challenges. They’re learning practical self-defence, making lifelong friends, burning off energy in a positive environment, and improving their balance, coordination and athleticism that carries over into every other sport they play.

One of the best parts of our gym is seeing the students who have come through our program now helping the next generation find their feet. That culture is what makes Xtreme MMA so special. We have an awesome coaching team and a supportive group of kids who welcome every new face through the doors.

History Made.

Upperhand Sports wasn’t just another fight night. It was the first boxing event competed at in Xtreme MMA history, and the boys made sure people will remember it.

Five of these lads committed, signed up, and stepped through the ropes. The sixth? He answered the call with just a couple of hours’ notice. No excuses. No hesitation. Just ready to fight.

The result?

5 wins. 1 loss.

For a team making its boxing debut, that’s a statement.

Every single one of them showed skill, toughness, composure and heart. They proved what we’ve always believed—at Xtreme MMA we don’t just train MMA. We build complete martial artists. Whether it’s MMA, boxing, kickboxing or grappling, we know how to compete.

The record speaks for itself, but what made us proud wasn’t just the wins. It was the way they carried themselves. The discipline. The grit. The willingness to dig deep when it mattered.

Massive credit goes to our coaches and everyone behind the scenes. Success like this doesn’t happen by accident. It’s built through countless hours on the mats, in the ring, and in the gym when nobody’s watching.

I’d love to write about each of these lads individually because every one of them deserves their flowers—but we’d be here all day. You all know who you are, and we’re proud of every single one of you.

This is only the beginning.
