Our tamariki have been enjoying lots of fun, hands-on learning experiences as we celebrate Tongan Language Week! ❤️

From dancing and moving to Tongan music 🎶💃 to creating beautiful Tongan tapa-inspired patterns 🎨, our tamariki have been learning about Tongan culture in fun and meaningful ways.

Our Tiny Wonders kaiako love creating opportunities where children can learn through play, movement, music and creativity. One of the highlights was our fun game of musical chairs using Tongan music, lots of smiles, laughter and excitement! 🥰🎶

We believe learning is most meaningful when tamariki are having fun, exploring and making memories together. 🌏❤️

🌺 Happy Tongan Language Week! 🇹🇴❤️

At Tiny Wonders, we are committed to giving our tamariki meaningful experiences that celebrate and embrace different cultures and traditions. 🌏✨

This week, our tamariki had the opportunity to learn about Tongan culture and make ‘Otai, a traditional Tongan fruit drink. 🍍🥥 They absolutely loved being involved in the experience and, of course, they loved enjoying the delicious drink too! 😋💕

It was wonderful to see their curiosity, excitement and enjoyment as they learned through hands-on experiences.

This week our tamariki explored the true meaning of friendship through fun and creative activities, including friendship bands, a friendship basket, a handprint friendship tree, and a colourful friendship soup science experiment. Together we learned that kindness, sharing, and caring help friendships grow every day. 👫🌳✨

🌟 Our Pēpi are Matariki Ready! 🌟

Our space is filled with so much joy as our busy pēpi get ready to celebrate Matariki! 🌿✨ They have been working so hard creating beautiful stars to decorate our room.

We want to send a huge, heartfelt thank you to our beautiful whānau who joined us to teach our pēpi the special Matariki songs and dances. 🎶💃🏽 Hearing the waiata and watching everyone move together has made this preparation so magical.

He mihi nui ki tō mātou whānau kua tae mai ki te whakaako i ā mātou pēpi ki ngā waiata me ngā kanikani o Matariki. Ngā mihi mō tō koutou mahi tahi! ❤️ (A big thank you to our family who came to teach our babies the songs and dances of Matariki. Thanks for working together with us!)
