Lenice is a Registered Music Teacher, and an Associate of the Trinity College of Music (London)
In the late 1970`s after attending Auckland University, and studying Theory of Music and Composition,she started teaching music at The Sisters of Mercy Convent in Otahuhu (South Auckland)
She then opened 2 Music Schools. Lenice trained Music Students from Auckland University to teach in the schools. He
r NZ Registration embraces Piano, Keyboards, Theory of Music, Group Piano and Group Keyboards. Examinations with Trinity College International, and The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music are the two favoured International Music Schools that Lenice has entered her Students with, and has had huge successes. Over the years many Students have achieved the top marks in NZ. Students have become accomplished performers, and many have gone on to become leaders in Church Music. A hugely experienced teacher, Lenice teaches all ages from 5 years to retirees. All levels from Beginners to Diploma. Distance learning with Skype. She likes her Students to become proficient at all kinds of music, so teaches Classical, Modern, Film Music and Contemporary, which includes Chord work ,Songwriting and Computer Studies. In order to ensure that her Students have plenty of Stage experience, the Studio holds 2 Concerts each year. As well as that, there are 2 Cushion Concerts which combine with the Registered Music Teachers in Taupo, The Trinity Showcase Concert, held at the Great Lake Centre and the Pop Rock & Classical Concert held at Taupo Nui a Tia College. There are lots of fun Challenges throughout the year for Students, and College Students studying for their NCEA levels in Music are given lots of help. At the moment their are no vacancies for tuition, but there is a waiting list for those who would like to enrol.
