What an exciting couple of days we had earlier in the week. Our Centre Manager Mel was contacted by Christopher Luxon's office and was asked if we would host him and all the camera's for his Maternity Policy announcement. Mel suggested either our local Prebbleton Cottage or Te Ara Ātea, the Rolleston Library instead as it would be a more suitable space. Off to Rolleston we went! We were invited to bring along some families to meet with Christopher Luxon, Dr Shane Reti, Louise Upston and Selwyn's own Nicola Grigg. A wonderful opportunity for some of our pregnant mum's to hear the news!

Spring is one of our favourite seasons of the year 🌷 Our trees and flowers are in full bloom, the warmer weather allows us more water play and the tamariki love spending their time outdoors in our beautiful, green outdoor environment. We are now taking enrolments in our Nursery. We offer a 1:3 ratio in our Infant Room and a 1:5 ratio in our Toddler Room. Kia ora Prebbleton Childcare family and whanau. As you know RSV has hit the Canterbury community hard and many of our tamariki have been affected by it. The Van Buuren family who attend our Brynley Street centre have 4 week old Greyson who has been fighting for his life up in Starship hospital. He is now in a stable condition, however mum, has been separated from her other 4 children. We have started a give-a-little page to help raise some funds to support the Van Buuren family. The money will help with food, petrol and childcare costs while they are going through this difficult time. Our love and support is with Ella, Brad, Felicity, Noah, Braxton, Finnley and tiny wee Greyson. A small donation would be greatly appreciated 💙

Celebrating a fantastic result from our recent ERO (Education Review Office) review. Well done to our team leaders, kaiako and a big thank you to our families and the tamariki who bring us together as a community.

CENTRE NEWS - All 3 of our centres welcomed ERO in for our 3 year review. We are proud to announce that our services have achieved an excellent result. ERO reported that relationships with families are a clear priority and children are relaxed and happy when attending our centres. ERO spoke with several families at each service who all had wonderful things to say about how much they love their children being with us, and how they feel a part of our place. ERO reported that we had sound systems in place for planning and assessment and noted that we excel in governance and management and have robust systems and procedures in place for checking health and safety, internal evaluations, and curriculum design. The full report will be released online around July.
