What a busy time we have had getting all excited for christmas.
We have made present shaped pancakes,
we decorated and painted cut out Christmas trees and made long lasting hand print decorations.
I love getting creative with the children, so good for their fine motor skills, creative expression and concentration skills.

Last year we got to experience horse riding at wild oats farm through village kids.
The kids absolutely loved it and was a great confidence booster! Even the kids who didn’t want to go ended up having a turn and the smile on their faces was priceless.
We were very lucky.

In the school holidays we got to make a volcano with the wildering nook unit book made by my good friends Annie and Niko.
What an amazing book and learning opportunity for the children.
They had such a great time decorating their volcano and make lava out of vinegar and baking soda. Very cool experience 😊

We had a very exciting trip to the motueka fire station!
The children loved it so much and got to learn what to do in a fire emergency and we talked about what they would do in an event of a fire at their own homes 🏡
They got to play with the big fire fighting hose and see what was in the fire engine cupboard and even have a wee pretend drive.
The little foxes loved it!!

Bath bomb water play is always a fun activity on a rainy day.
The children loved seeing and feeling the texture of the bath bombs in their hands and found it very fascinating as it shrunk to nothing and melted into the water. 😃

Baking day when outside is all grey.
The kids loved making gingerbread things the other day. They experienced the different textures as they squashed the ingredients together going from dry to sticky when we added the egg, then into a nice dough they can cut shapes in.
The best part I think was eating them and they even got to take some home to their families 😀
