Please see the posters below about some exciting events coming up at the Porirua Library. Here's what the team has to say about what they have planned for August:

"August 15-21 marks the very first Aotearoa New Zealand Children’s Book Week. We will have a special “Kiwi” themed Storyworld and Baby Band that week as well as highlights on books by NZ authors that you won’t want to miss.

August 28th is also a special day in our world—National Poetry Day! We will have events for all ages, including a poetry workshop geared towards students in Years 7-13. This senior poetry event will be hosted by one of the library’s resident poets, Bee!
