I know many missed the cut off ( we were at capacity almost immediately)

Mama Teremoana (Atiu/Rarotonga) has been teaching Cook Islands Reo classes for over 20 years. Her extensive educational career has included her role as Principal of Teachers Training College in Rarotonga and completion of a masters degree in Cook Islands language studies.
She is passionate about promoting Cultures and languages of all 15 islands and was awarded the Kings Service medal in June 2023 for her services to sport and culture.
Her Cook Islands Māori Reo classes are due to start on June 17th, 2026 and will run until 19th August 2026.
This is a free, 10 Week class run online through zoom. Previous classes have seen students from all over the world take part. The course caters for absolute beginners and has a major focus on developing your Turanga (Your identity)

We have had a very busy year this year and for the first time ran 3 reo classes a week (with 50-60 students)
We have had the best time with passionate students, hungry to learn more about our reo and beautiful culture.
We initially thought we could run another class before the end of the year, but have decided to use this time to take on feedback and rebuild our class to make it even better for our students.

We are looking forward to running more classes next year starting early in the year.

And that's a wrap!!! Meitaki ranuinui to our beautiful students (sorry, I only got a photo of our Tuesday Class) Listening to all the Turanga was such a privilege. We have another 2 classes ready to go next week. Unfortunately they are full now (If you had registered for this class, please check your email) We will be running more classes in October..if you are interested..stay tuned to this page..All updates will be here...Kia Manuia 🌺🌺🌺

REO CLASS UPDATE

After an overwhelming response to our Reo Class posts we are unfortunately at capacity.

I will continue to waitlist as we gain commitment from existing students.
We are also running another class in August so I’m happy to take details now for those still interested.
I will reply to everyone by end of day tomorrow to advise where your request is sitting.
