Degree: Master's in Education and BA in Education and Psychology 🦸‍♀️
Number of years working with youth: Over 10 years 🤩

Anne was born and raised in Porirua and is also proud to be Samoan. Anne completed her degree in Education and Psychology as well as her Master's in Education at Victoria University. Anne has been tutoring youth in tertiary education for almost 10 years, mostly serving the Porirua community. She has worked with many young people from all walks of life, and it brings her so much joy to see them leave with confidence and aspirations for themselves. Anne strongly believes in culturally responsive teaching methods. This includes using different teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs. Over the many years of experience with young people, they need someone who not only believes in them but to also help them believe in themselves. If we want our youth to succeed in life, we need to educate and support them through a holistic lens.

Born and bred in Porirua, Fred has a very close connection and grounding in the area. Having recently been working with young people in his community for the last 8-years and raising a family of his own, Fred is a cool and approachable guy who can give you the hook ups with training, employers, and other services. Fred traces his linage to Samoa but is a Porirua local through and through! Fred can meet with young people to make them feel comfortable and help them find the support they need to transition into our programmes. Master of life and is raising a family of his own. Again, the guy with all the hook ups!
