Mōrena Natone Park School whānau,

Natone Park School will be open today.

However, if you have any concerns about your child attending school today, especially in regards to travel, please send a message through the Hero app or call the school as usual to let us know about their absence. Children will be marked as a Justified absence for today.

We also know some schools in our region have decided to close. Each school will make their own decision based on their circumstances and we all have good lines of communication, including their reasons. Please follow the instructions of the school/s your children attend whcih may be different.

Stay safe.

Kia ora e te whānau,
We are closely monitoring the current weather warnings affecting our area. With strong winds and heavy rain forecast, the safety of our tamariki and staff is our top priority.
At this stage, school will remain open tomorrow. However, this may change depending on conditions overnight and a safety assessment early in the morning.
If the situation worsens or we move into a higher-level weather warning, we may need to close the school. We will confirm this with a message to our whānau by 7:15am tomorrow.
Please also make the best decision for your whānau. If you feel it is unsafe to travel, keep your child at home and let us know.
Ngā mihi nui for your understanding and support. Stay safe, and we will be in touch again in the morning.
