Feedback like this means so much to us. There’s nothing quite like hearing directly from our whānau about their experiences with our centre and the people who make it what it is ❣️

Here at Busy Bees, we believe in creating a world where every child feels seen, heard, and included. That is why we are so excited to share that we have officially registered our centre to take part in the Sign for Change Campaign this August! As you may know, NZSL is one of the three official languages of Aotearoa, and we are thrilled to weave it into our daily practice.

Hosted by the National Foundation for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (NFDHH), Sign for Change is a national movement encouraging us all to learn 30 New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) signs throughout the month. Some of the signs we will be learning may already be familiar to you and your child from our daily routines, while others might be brand new - either way, it is going to be a fun journey of revisiting and discovering together!

We have already started receiving some wonderful feedback from parents noticing their children signing at home. It is truly heartwarming to see these skills traveling beyond our centre walls. If your little one has been teaching you some signs at the dinner table, we would absolutely love to hear about it!

By participating in this campaign, we are not just learning hand movements; we are practicing inclusion and teaching our children that communication comes in many forms. Thank you for supporting us in making our centre a more accessible place for everyone💜

We are proud to support Sign for Change and help build a more inclusive Aotearoa. 💙

This initiative highlights how NZSL avatar technology can improve access to information and support stronger Deaf inclusion when Deaf translators and experts are not available.

At our centre, we believe every child, whānau, and community member deserves to feel seen, heard, and included. By supporting initiatives like Sign for Change, we can help create a more accessible future for everyone.
