I'm really happy to welcome you to my new venture, Drum Central.

Over the past 38 years as a drummer I have delved into many different areas of the drum world. I started out on the side drum in a marching band at the age of 11 and after a while progressed to Highland Pipe bands.

Eventually, as a teenager, a love of good rock music took over, and ever since then I have played original and cover music behind the kit in a variety of bands.

All of these avenues have influenced my overall approach to playing and owning a drum kit and achieving the best possible sound, no matter what the quality of the kit.

My desire to achieve and maintain a great sound on an instrument that functions at its best, has led me to pursue excellence and gain as much knowledge about quality drum sound and technique as possible. My drum maintenance skills have been honed through many happy hours of keeping my own drums in best working order and helping others to do the same.

I know how hard it is to find the time and energy for maintaining a drum kit and keeping it functioning as it should. Let me be your 'drum mechanic' and I'll help you to achieve the best quality sound from your kit.
