Here's what former Auckland Girls’ Grammar School student and Keystone Study Award recipient, Marcelle, has to say about her time with the Trust:
“I think the big thing was believing in my ability and knowing that I belong in spaces like university and engineering. I think Keystone gave me that foundation to build upon.”

We celebrated our 10 year partnership with LT McGuinness Ltd. at their Auckland office recently with cake - a banana slab cake drizzled with caramel sauce and a buttercream icing to be precise. It was very much appreciated by the team and although the cake was important (and delicious), what was even more so has been the long term commitment of the LT McGuinness leadership team to being part of our journey. Together we have enabled those who wouldn't usually have the opportunities to find their space and place in this incredible industry. Thank you!

Banu Ali, Keystone Trust & Miles Construction 2024 scholarship recipient and Keystone Trust & Built Environs 2025 scholarship recipient, knows that after dark comes light - but only if you keep getting back up.
“I’m not afraid of any hardship, because I know how to survive.”
Two weeks' ago, Banu, a former refugee, graduated from Unitec with a degree in construction — something she never imagined possible a decade ago, when she was living in fear for her life in Pakistan.
Banu is an incredibly brave young woman who we have been proud to stand alongside for two years as she successfully concluded her academic journey. She is now working with Newpol Construction in Melbourne where she and her children can be closer to family for support. However, when the New Zealand construction sector picks up we hope Banu will consider a return to these shores to put her training to good use for the sector.

We have been delighted to partner with Miles Construction for the past eight years. The company boasts a 90 per cent retention rate of Keystone alumni who have started as interns and gone on to fulltime employment.
As Mark Farrell, CEO, states: “What Keystone does very well is they’ve got that underlying professionalism but they’re very personable. They don’t just throw you a candidate and then it’s ‘goodbye’. They understand your business. And when we do get a candidate, there’s follow-up with the candidate, so I think it gives them a lot of insight into what’s working and what’s not working.”
Thank you, Mark and Michael Money, Michael Brinkley and the man who began the relationship, Miles Construction founder, Alastair Miles.
