I will be basing my learning around GrasshopperKnees Pre-school learning philosophy - a program that develops well-rounded children through a wide variety of learning and play experiences. To all my followers who are Mothers....I hope your Mother's day is blessed, happy and filled with love.
Blessed because us mothers are so lucky to have the gift of our child(ren). My thoughts are with those of you who haven't had this blessing yet today.
I hope you all have Happy moments with your children and mothers.
And filled with love because the love between mums and their children is so so precious.
The children and I have been very busy the last few weeks making presents for our mummies too. Here is Megan sharing what she made. I'm so proud of all the work all my girls did :)

Our new word of the day was "exhausted". None of the girls knew what it meant but I loved how they gave it a go. Megan said, "it's when you have a headache" Ava said, "it's when you go to bed sick and the ambulance comes" and Elle said, "it's when you go out in the sun". They were all right a bit so I thought that was very smart guessing! Tonight when Nana came Ava said to her, "exhausted is when you have a headache from being in the sun and so go to bed." I love how she combined all their ideas into one explanation for our new word :)

I've been learning and reaffirming my knowledge lots about ECE through the Professional Readings given to me by PORSE. And a few quotes have stood out to me - "play is the heart of the early childhood program" & "to gain [creative] skills...children need to have the chance to try out, to experiment, to explore and to extend themselves."
