The end of Term 3 will see our LAC's heading off to RNZAF Base Ohakea for the Junior NCO Course. In preparation tonight they worked together taking drill lessons to hone their skills.

The lessons were overseen by our NCO team including our current Junior NCO's. They will also be progressing through the ranks by attending the Senior NCO Course the following week.

We look forward to having a strengthened leadership team as we continue to build unit numbers into 2027.

A milestone at the unit tonight as we paraded in two flights.

It has been a long time since we had enough members to make double flights, so this is exciting and really shows the growth in the unit.

Another fantastic experience available to our Cadets as members of the New Zealand Cadet Forces.

Term 3 kicks off tomorrow night Monday 20th from 1830hrs and we look forward to welcoming everyone back.

SKILLS 2026 - EX SKYHAWK

Another fantastic event completed! A great opportunity to catch up with old friends, make new ones, experience life (and food) on base and give it your best shot at something you've never done before!

We're really proud that everyone had a go and gave it their best effort. With a very junior team places were never the goal. Having fun and enjoying the experience was the goal and we achieved that.

We've created a good base for a team going forward, with plenty of ideas and enthusiasm for next year.

Wow - Just Wow!!!

We have been named as a finalist in the 2026 Wellington Airport Regional Community Awards.

The awards recognise the valuable contribution of volunteers to community groups and organisations across the Wellington Region.

This is really exciting, and it acknowledges the hard mahi our Officers, Cadets, Parents, and Support Committee do to support our community and youth of Porirua.

Thank you! We are incredibly chuffed for this nomination. The ceremony to announce the winners will be on the 18th August so fingers crossed for then 🤞🤞
