A much-loved South Canterbury tradition since the late 1970s, ARTARAMA returns with around 400 artworks by Year 1–13 students from across the region!

Come along with the grandchildren, parents, friends or whānau — or book a class visit and celebrate the creativity of our tamariki. 🌟

📚 **A Children’s Book Exchange is coming to Pleasant Point!** 📚

Earlier this year, two of our Year 8 students came to our Principal with a fantastic idea — to build a **Children’s Book Exchange** for our community.

Thanks to the amazing Jim, who has been working alongside our Year 8 students, construction is now underway! 🔨📖

We are so excited to see this wonderful idea come to life and can't wait for it to be installed.

🔥 Hot off the press... the boys have done it again! ♟️
Today, Liam, Reed, and William travelled to Oamaru to compete in the Chess Power Competition, and what a fantastic day they had!
✅ Round 1 saw all three boys win their games.
✅ In Round 2, Liam won his game in record time, while Reed and William secured draws.
✅ By Round 3, Liam and Reed were sitting in first place in their respective age groups.
✅ After Round 4, Reed was equal first, Liam was in second place, and William was continuing to hold his own against strong competition.
The final rounds were incredibly exciting, with Liam finishing in 1st place in his age group! 🏆
To top it all off, the boys combined their efforts to earn 2nd place in the team competition. 🥈
And there's more great news... all three boys have now qualified for the Chess Power Finals in Auckland! 🎉♟️ What an outstanding achievement and a testament to their hard work, dedication, and strategic thinking.
We are incredibly proud of Liam, Reed, and William for the way they represented our school and community.
A huge thank you to Sam for taking the boys to Oamaru and supporting them throughout the day.

What a truly special day! 🇳🇿
Today we had the privilege of being part of the citizenship ceremony as our very own Ms Maggie took her oath and officially became a New Zealand citizen.
It was such an honour to stand beside her and sing the national anthem as she celebrated this incredible milestone. We are so proud of you, Maggie, and grateful to have shared this memorable moment with you.
Congratulations on your citizenship—what a wonderful achievement! ❤️🎉
