💛 Yellow Day! 💛

Today we came together to celebrate Yellow Day in support of the Cancer Society.

Did you know that 1 in 3 New Zealanders will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime? That’s a huge number, and it’s why supporting this important cause matters so much. 💛

A huge thank you to everyone who came dressed in yellow today and helped us raise money and awareness for such an important cause.

We loved seeing Impressions filled with sunshine and yellow! 🌼💛

Super proud of our wonderful Kai Creator, Sheralee!

Sheralee has just refreshed her Food Safety & Hygiene training with flying colours! 👏🏼✨

We’re also thrilled to have successfully passed our food safety audit this morning, meaning we can continue providing delicious, safe and nutritious kai to our tamariki in full compliance. 🥰🍎

A huge woohoo and well done, Sheralee! 🎉 You’re doing an amazing job! 💕

🐴✨A special visit from Skylah!

Our tamariki loved meeting Skylah the pony, with some enjoying a gentle ride around the grass and others happy to simply say hello.

As we celebrate 20 years of Impressions, we’re feeling extra grateful for the wonderful experiences our community helps create. A huge thank you to Kat for bringing Skylah along. We had so much fun! See you again soon, Skylah. 💛

Now we’re already wondering… how should we celebrate 21 years of Impressions next year? 🎉✨

✨ Matariki Soup Day ✨

As part of our Matariki celebrations, our tamariki took a walk to Pirongia Primary School, where Jess, one of our amazing parents, welcomed us into the school vegetable garden to harvest fresh produce for our soup. 🥕🌱

Back at the centre, curious little hands helped peel, chop, stir, and discover the colours, shapes, and textures of each vegetable before sharing a delicious pot of homemade soup together.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed vegetables and fry bread. Your kindness and generosity are truly appreciated.

Matariki reminds us of the value of coming together. Sharing kai, supporting one another, and celebrating the strength of our community. 💛

Learning about Hiwa-i-te-Rangi reminded us that Matariki is a time to look to the future with hope. Our Preschool tamariki shared their dreams and aspirations through meaningful conversations and creative experiences. Here are some of their wonderful hopes for the future. ✨

Community is at the heart of everything we do, so we’re incredibly proud to be sponsoring a local netball team this season!

It’s extra special seeing some familiar faces out on the court, with several of the girls having once been part of our Impressions whānau. Watching our tamariki grow, build confidence, make friendships, and get involved in community sport is something we love to support.

We can’t wait to cheer you on throughout the season and celebrate all the fun, teamwork, and achievements along the way.

Celebrating Samoan Language Week 🇼🇸

This week our tamariki have been exploring Samoan culture through music, movement, language, and delicious food. A huge thank you to our amazing kai creator Sheralee for preparing traditional treats on Wednesday including koko alaisa, supoesi, and coconut loaf.. enjoyed by everyone! 💛

Our Junior Room had so much fun learning the beat to Samoan music alongside our wonderful kaiako Chelsea 🥁🎶
