I know it not to be the case with essential oils, but I really thought all low tox laundry detergent products were "made the same" - turns out I was wrong!

Since it's launch, I've been using the doTERRA Essential Oils New Zealand Clean range, infused with refreshing combo of Lemon Eucalyptus, Tea Tree and Cinnamon essential oils.

In particular, I regularly use the liquid laundry detergent, but if that's not your jam, they also sell a powdered option in a 1kg drum too.

I really should've known better, ordered extra before Christmas, to take me through until my first order of the New Year arrived. I didn't, and was forced to use a supermarket "eco" brand.

Ordinarily, if I don't take my washing out of the machine straightaway, my usual doTERRA product is very forgiving, but not so for this "stand in" product. Even after removing straightaway, there is an absence of a clean, fresh smell.

Suffice to say, lesson learnt. I won't be buying THAT product again!

Furthermore, I had bought it "on sale", for $10.50 for a 470mL bottle, so as well as being an inferior product, it actually works out more expensive too - another great reason to stick with doTERRA Clean!

I’m not big on making smoothies, but I’m trying to utilise them more.

Not surprisingly, I’ve decided to use this Vanilla Whey Protein from dōTERRA (also available in Chocolate too).

ℹ️ Each 40g serve provides 22g protein and 7g of fibre (in fact, with a total carb count of just 5g, that’s actually -2g of net carbs!).

🐄 Using whey from grass-fed cows, it is FREE from GMO & gluten, soy, growth hormones & synthetic ingredients.

It also includes hydrolysed collagen (bovine) & probiotic [Bacillus Coagulans - which can help to improve digestion and restore normal gut flora].

For today’s blend, I mixed the Protein Powder with 250mL Almond Milk, a Banana & 1 Tbsp Chia Seeds.

It was unexpectedly satiating, and delicious, and left me wanting more 😋

Ooooh … how exciting 🤩

I heard something recently that made me think.

Good health is not about striving for the elimination or total absence of DIS-ease, but about providing our body with ongoing support and nourishment to thrive “optimally”.

Doing so can enable our body’s to do the best job that it can when things comes up for us.

I guess “seasonal threats” are just one part of a “normal” health cycle …

a detox if you will … clearing out, making way for the new, so embrace it.

Don’t see it as a sign of weakness, but an opportunity for growth and strengthening.

It was a scorcher in Marlborough today, so I’ve been super grateful to have had some Peppermint essential oil on hand.

I love to be able to let a few drops trickle down my spine for an awesome cooling sensation.

You should try it sometime!
