Today we had some extra fun using a pancake machine, enjoying delicious pancakes topped with whipped cream and sprinkles. There were plenty of smiles as tamariki watched the pancakes cook and shared a special kai together.
If you'd like to find out what makes Petone Beach Kindergarten so special, pop in for a visit or enquire about our available spaces. We'd love to meet you!

🌿 Exciting changes are happening at Petone Beach Kindergarten! 🌿
Our outdoor environment is getting a refresh, and tamariki have been fascinated watching the little loader and digger at work each day. There have been lots of conversations, questions, and excitement as they see the transformation unfold!
And don't worry -the much-loved fort is staying, and we're giving the cargo net a well-deserved update too.
With our team of 100% qualified teachers, we're always reflecting on how our environment supports children's learning, wellbeing, and sense of adventure. We can't wait to share the finished space and all the new opportunities it will provide for exploration, challenge, and play.
🌊 Watch this space for more updates! 🌊

✨ Our refreshed Schoolies Wall is ready! ✨
We're excited to share our newly refreshed Schoolies Wall, designed to support our tamariki and whānau as they prepare for the exciting transition to school.
This refresh was made possible thanks to our recent Teacher Only Day, where our team came together for valuable professional learning, collaboration, and dedicated time to reflect, make decisions, and strengthen the learning experiences we offer our children.
Our Schoolies Wall is a space where tamariki can build confidence, celebrate milestones, and where whānau can find information and ideas to help make the transition to school a positive and successful one.
We can't wait for you to have a look the next time you're in the kindergarten!

Matariki preparations are complete!
Our tamariki have been busy preparing special gifts for Matariki. We have finally poured the wax and finished our beautiful candles, iced and decorated our biscuits, and carefully packaged them ready for gifting to our tamariki and whānau to enjoy and share at home.
We would love for all whānau to join us for our Matariki Rising celebration:
Thursday 9th July
6:00am – Matariki Rising at Pito One Beach (opposite Cuba Street)
Breakfast to follow at Petone Beach Kindergarten
Come and join us as we gather together to reflect, remember, celebrate, and look forward to the year ahead.
A special invitation is extended to all past and present Petone Beach Kindergarten tamariki, friends, families, and whānau. We would love to celebrate Matariki with you and reconnect as a community.
All are welcome – we look forward to standing alongside you at dawn.
Ngā mihi,
Shelley, Minka, Anna and Naomi
