🌸💚 Low-Waste Mother’s Day Ideas 💚🌸

Showing Mum (or the special mother figures in your life) some love this Mother's Day doesn't have to cost the Earth!

Here are a few thoughtful, low-waste gift ideas she’ll actually appreciate:
🍰 A homemade treat or meal - is mum a savoury or sweet lover?
💐 Flowers from your garden or a local market (plastic-free!)
🎁 A “no stuff” gift like a massage, facial, picnic or movie night
⌚ Quality time together - sometimes just slowing down and being there, listening and doing what she wants to do is what counts most!
🧵 Something upcycled or handmade with love

It’s not about how much you spend - it’s the thought (and the footprint) that counts 💝♻️

If you aren't composting, where the hell have you been, loca? 🍎✨🐀

This week (3-9 May) is International Compost Awareness Week 2026.

Compost is nature’s way of recycling and healthy soil is the foundation of everything we grow. This year’s theme — “Compost! Feed the soil that feeds us” — reminds us of something incredibly important: healthy soil means healthy food, a healthy planet, and a healthier future. 🌏

When we compost our kitchen scraps, garden waste, and other organic materials, in addition to diverting waste from landfill, we’re turning them into nutrient-rich soil that supports strong plant growth and vibrant ecosystems. 🌱

This week let’s follow Eric's lead 🪱 and celebrate the power of compost and take steps — big or small — to make it part of our daily lives. Whether you’re starting a compost bin, learning about soil health, or simply sharing knowledge with friends and family, you’re helping feed the soil that feeds us all.
