The Pāuatahanui School board invites applications from parents who wish to enrol both in zone and out of zone students at Pāuatahanui School for 2027. Enrolment forms can be completed online via the school website - https://enrolments.linc-ed.com/apply/NZ/2953.

Enrolment at the school is governed by an enrolment scheme, details of which are available on the school website or at the school office.

The deadline for receipt of applications for out-of-zone places is 3.00pm Monday, 14th September.

Parents of students who live within the home zone should also apply by this date to assist the school in planning appropriately for next year.

The board will determine how many places are likely to be available for out-of-zone students in 2027 once all in-zone applications have been received. The number of out-of-zone places available for 2027 will be made public on Tuesday, 15th September.

If the number of out of zone applications exceeds the number of places available, students will be selected by ballot. If a ballot is required, it will be held on Monday 21 September and the outcome will be advised by Friday 25 September.

The Animal Ring is back for Lamb & Calf Day 2026, and entries are now open! 🏆

Children from across the Wellington region are welcome to enter and showcase their hand-raised lambs and calves in the Animal Ring. It’s a fantastic opportunity for young animal handlers to get involved, learn new skills and enjoy the excitement of the show ring.

There are ribbons and prizes to be won, including the coveted Best in Show awards. So, get your lambs and calves ready and start preparing for the big day!

PĀUATAHANUI SCHOOL SENIOR NETBALL – AIMS GAMES 2026 PIE FUNDRAISER

In September 2026, the Pāuatahanui School Senior Netball Team will proudly represent our school at the AIMS Games in Tauranga — the first sports team from Pāuatahanui School to attend. Ten students will be representing both the school and our local community.
Funds raised will go towards travel, accommodation, uniforms, and tournament costs.

On Tuesday the 19th Pāuatahanui School will be running their 2026 school cross country! This will be held on the Webb's property at 10 Paekakariki Hill Road (opposite Challenge). Although the students will not be in the village itself, please expect an increase in traffic due to parent parking and movement.

This is Emily Robertson's latest Musical Theatre show. It is Emily's first full scale musical production, and she has a feature role as Old Man Jenkins, along with several other characters and a busy part of the singing and dancing ensemble. After a full term of rehearsing up to 9 hours a week, she is so excited to bring these characters to life and do what she loves - performing. It is such a fun show for all ages, and she would love to see you all there.

Kia ora Pauatahanui Community,

The Pauatahanui Diamonds netball team is excited to be travelling to Tauranga at the end of the season to compete in the 2026 AIMs Games. This is the first time our school will be sending athletes to this event, making it a very special and exciting opportunity for both the team and our wider school community.

To help cover the costs of travel, accommodation, food and tournament fees for our ten players, the team will be fundraising throughout the year. We are also seeking support from local businesses and community members who may be interested in sponsoring the team. This could be through a monetary donation or by contributing items that we can use for raffle prizes.

According to Wellington Electricity, the power outage will continue into today. As the power has been out for longer than 24 hours, the backup battery for the fire protection system at school is no longer operational, meaning the school has no fire protection.
As this is a health and safety issue, the board has decided that the school must remain closed.
