Even on a rainy day, our tamariki enjoy sensory play throughout the day. Exploring wet sand and soft feathers under the veranda sparked curiosity, creativity, and hands-on learning as children discovered different textures and engaged their senses.
Our Over 2s had a wonderful time exploring a sensory flour tray during outdoor play this morning. Sensory experiences like these encourage creativity, problem-solving, and lots of fun learning through play.
Our babies had so much fun today as they lined up and transformed into a train! Holding onto one another, they proudly marched around the playground, using their imaginations and working together as a team.
Through this playful adventure, our pēpi were developing their balance, coordination, listening skills, and sense of belonging as they followed the “train conductor” on an exciting journey. What a wonderful way to learn through play while sharing lots of smiles and laughter along the way!
Sensory play is always a favourite at Gladstone Park!
This morning, our tamariki enjoyed exploring a coffee sensory experience, mixing up their own “coffees” while discovering the rich aroma, texture, and changes that happened when water was added. Through hands-on exploration, children engaged their senses, sparked their curiosity, and had lots of fun learning through play.
Yesterday our tamariki explored the wonders of the ocean, learning about the different creatures that call it home.
