In my spare time, I love to song write. I’ve been writing songs for about eight years now and have always found it is the best way for me to firstly figure out how I feel and also express it.
Attached is a song I’ve been working on for a while, and it’s a bit of me getting vulnerable (singing in the bathroom vibes for the great acoustics). While singing is a skill, songwriting is also one, and if that is something you find that you’re interested in, I would love to explore that avenue with you and guide you with some tips and tricks I’ve learnt along the way.

My name is Myer, and I offer vocal lessons in the Auckland central/close suburb area.
Teaching singing is my passion, and I understand the courage and vulnerability that is entailed in getting singing lessons. I make it my mission to develop close professional relationships with all my students and create a safe environment where you feel comfortable and confident to reach your potential.
Singing is an ART, and therefore in my lessons, it is a no judgement zone. I love teaching any range of talent, whether you are a beginner or have been singing for years. As it is an art, it is a beautiful way to learn to express yourself, whether this is through writing your own songs (which I can help you with) or tapping into the emotion of someone else's.
The argument of "you're born with it or you're not" is tired and overused. Singing is a skill first and foremost that you can learn to master with my guidance - I love to describe it as the perfect connection between muscle control and airflow, and once you understand this dynamic your potential is limitless.
In my lessons, I teach with classical technique that will provide you with healthy, lifelong foundations for your singing future, that can then be transferred to any song of your choice. Singing is meant to be fun. Therefore, it is my belief our lessons are a compromise as we work together to achieve your goals.
