Today we had our first Teacher only day for the year.
Kaiako engaged in lots of discussions around planning, pukapuka and social / emotional learning.
A big thank you to Katrina who joined us.

🌧️ Kindergarten Update

Kia ora e te whānau,
We are confident that all of our kindergartens will be open tomorrow, except for Taihape Kindergarten. Taihape will remain closed due to the continued state of emergency, ongoing road closures, and the need for water conservation in the area. We’ll keep you updated.

The safety and wellbeing of our tamariki, whānau, and teams as always is our top priority. If you are travelling to and from kindergarten, please take extra care on the roads and only travel if you feel safe to do so.

Today we discovered APPLES - lots and lots of them all over the ground in our māra.

There was great excitement as we all worked together to gather up as many apples as we could (and a little competition too - how many did you get?).

What could we do next?

How about we make Apple Crumble!

And so that's what we did, peeling, mixing, talking, resting and then finally eating under the shade of our special Apple Tree.

Thank you Papatūānuki for growing such a wonderful tree for us - we will keep looking after you and all your tree friends!

That's it for 2025!

We want to thank you all for choosing Ngahina Kindergarten and for giving us the opportunity to spend time with you and your amazing tamariki.

We have had another very busy year filled with play, learning, care, fun, curiosity, wonder, joy, love and most of all connection.

We hope you and your whānau have a very Meri Kirihimete (Merry Christmas) and we look forward to seeing you all again early in 2026.
