As we close one cycle & prepare
to step into the new, I wanted to share something special — nā Kahira Rau ✨
He Pūrākau — her story, her voice, her journey — weaving together Matariki as the alarm bell of the New Year, Te Maramataka Māori, the 12 months from Pipiri through to Haratua, our four seasons — Hotoke, Koanga, Raumati, Ngahuru — 🌗 the 30 lunar phases, & how we hold the essence of the Gregorian calendar too — all rooted in our reo, our tikanga, our way of seeing the world 🌍🌾🌙
She learned it all — every kupu, every kōrero — and stood tall to tell it confidently, seamlessly, beautifully — turning knowledge into wairua, turning learning into legacy 💚🩵❤️🖤
This is the magic of what we do here. This is what happens when you lean in, learn deep, and speak your truth — you create something that outlasts the moment: something your whānau can watch now and forever, something that carries your mana forward into the future 💫
