Fully updated and refreshed Whale Song website

A key part of this refresh is the Impact Explorer which is really made for all businesses in Kāpiti and the region to understand the impact Whale Song will have on just about nearly every sector.

It allows for those looking, to adjust visitor expectations from 100,000 (we believe would be an absolute minimum) up to 900,000 visitors per annum similar to Huka Falls. The Explorer alters all the downstream “ripple” figures as you adjust the sliders, Visitor Projections, Capture Rate and Average spend.

As you can see at the lowest number of 100,000 visitors, a 60% capture rate and Whale Song still generates $12.6million per annum into the local economy, supporting jobs and the housing growth thats scheduled across Kāpiti (some 5000 new homes).

We have created an interactive map as a key part of ensuring any visitor to Whale Song has a clear idea of what to do next in our region. See the “What to do next” tab.

We have produced this to show locals a key part of Whale Song will be as a “wayfinder” for visitors to other facilities, attaction's etc across the coast/region , driving sustainable growth outwards across the Kāpiti District and beyond.

We have also added a Support tab, which allows those wanting to support the project in some way or investigate sponsor options with the sculpture itself. This is backed by a secure payments "Stripe" portal for donations, book purchases and future subscriptions - Wayfinder etc.
