🎉 Celebrating Chinese New Year at Wonder Kids Kapiti 🎉
Happy Chinese New Year, everyone!🐍🎊
This week, we had an amazing time celebrating the Lunar New Year. We painted and created a giant red snake to hang on our tree, and made smaller snakes with paper plates that bounce and swirl! 🐍✨ We also crafted colorful Chinese dragons to add to the fun.
One of our talented Kindy children shared her beautiful traditional Chinese costume and even showed us some Chinese dance moves! 💃🎶 We also decorated our Kindy door with red couplets, bringing good luck and prosperity to all. 🏮

The day was filled with joy, learning, and the lively sounds of Chinese New Year music. 🎶🧧

Look what we have been up to so far at Kindy..... We've been having so much fun exploring everything that begins with the letter Aa... There has been Aeroplane creating, Animal and Apple paintings created and we have explored the letter A in paint, foam and with glue and collagé.

It is wonderful having everyone back and we are excited for another fantastic year ...

This week at Kindy. We've been having so much fun exploring everything that begins with the letter t. Tiger, toast, torch, tshirt, toadstool, taco.

We had:
Tiger maskes made in all kinds of creative styles. A delightful tea party with imaginative play.
Fun with toilets, a great way to talk about hygiene. Turtles and toadstools crafted with recycled material and paints.
Cut and stick activities to create our very own trees.
And we couldn't forget all the children whose names start with T, So many special moments this week.

It's all about the letter "Q" this week ... queen, quack, quail and quiet, what else begins with the letter Q?
We have been celebrating Diwali at kindy over the last few days. We have been creating colouful rangoli and diya pictures, reading stories and talking about the festival of lights.
