* STAGE ONE (6-14 months)*
Do you have a baby 6-14 months-old? Would you like to communicate before they can speak? Come and join a Sing and Sign “Stage 1” class in Miramar, Johnsonville, Lower Hutt or Paraparaumu! Sing and Sign is fun and easy! You'll be able to:
- help your little one use words before they can talk
- encourage speech development
and support their understanding
- enjoy small, friendly in-person classes
- learn songs, rhymes, and music in 10 weekly themed classes
- practise lots of basic signs you'll use every day, with lots of repetition
- access online resources to support learning
- play and bond with baby without too many distracting props
During our full-term course, we learn lots of useful signs including:
- basic signs (milk, more, eat, drink, all gone)
- going out (routine, places, vehicles)
- nappy change and bathtime
- emotions
- feeling unwell
- asking for help
- bedtime
- family and people
- loads of animals

* STAGE TWO (14-24 months)*
There are Stage 2 classes to book in Miramar, Johnsonville, Lower Hutt and Paraparaumu. Sing and Sign "Stage 2" classes are designed for babies and toddlers around 14-24 months-old. We cover the basic signs from our Stage 1 classes, with lots of lovely new songs to enjoy (if this is your first class don't worry, no previous baby sign experience is required!)
We also tackle more advanced concepts such as the weather, colours, being helpful, simple counting, opposites, and even begin simple phonics - all using music and song. This class is particularly suited for babies who are crawling (or just about to) and ready to explore the room - that's all perfectly okay. Babies are definitely not expected to sit still and pay attention to the adults! Classes are limited to up to 10 parent and toddler pairs so we can all learn together without things getting too overwhelming. Your little one may or may not have already started talking - and of course that's fine! This course will support their ongoing speech development while they're enjoying making music. Classes will run for around 45 minutes with some social time built in before/after. Please allow an hour from the time the class is advertised to run. Book now to enjoy:
