Rising Vibes

Event by TOTARA STREET, Wright Family Foundation and Rising Vibes. Come along and support our young band Indigo and our soloists Stella and Cybele.

Rising Vibes provides the ultimate platform for College Bands and Artists to create, perform and enhance their own original music.
Four times a year, at the end of each term, the Wright Family Foundation and the Mauao Performing Arts Centre present Rising Vibes. Taking place at TOTARA ST, the home of live music and entertainment in the Bay, everyone is welcome to attend, doors open at 4pm and entry is free of charge. Rising Vibes is a community based project with the aim to support and nurture upcoming talent from around the Bay of Plenty region.
The following schools are involved in the initiative and various acts from these schools perform throughout the year:
Mount Maunganui College
Pāpāmoa College
Bethlehem College
Ōtūmoetai College
Tauranga Girls' College
Tauranga Boys' College

Congratulations to our junior band Indigo who achieved second place n the National N.Z. band quest competition . They also won best song writer. We are super proud of these Year7-9 students, what an amazing achievement!

It’s almost here! This Friday night we’re celebrating the incredible talent from our contributing primary schools at Papamoa’s Got Talent 🎶
Four amazing acts from each contributing primary school will take the stage to showcase their creativity, courage, and skills. Plus—while the judges deliberate—you’ll be treated to some spectacular performances from Papamoa College students.
🎸 And that’s not all… Indigo, last year’s winners of Papamoa’s Got Talent, are back fresh from their HUGE win at Band Quest 2025! You won’t want to miss them!
