📢“Ko te hē o te kotahi ko te hē o te katoa.”
The wrongdoing of one affects us all.📢
Tahae ! A person has been identified stealing a bicycle and scooters belonging to our tamariki. Their details, vehicle registration, and images have been provided to Police.
To the wider Papakura community:
Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Ngā Papaonekura, located at 38 Park Estate Road, is a fully operational Year 1–13 Kura Kaupapa Māori. Our special character is grounded in Te Aho Matua, Te Reo Māori, and Tikanga Māori. Outside of school hours, our kura remains a fully monitored site.
Every day we work tirelessly to strengthen the language, culture, identity, wellbeing and futures of our tamariki and whānau by restoring what generations before us lost, and continuing the legacy of those few brave enough to dream, to fight, to protect, to retain, and reclaim what is rightfully ours.
Theft, harm, violence, trauma and actions that threaten the safety of our tamariki and undermine our kura, its kaupapa and our whanau and community will not be tolerated. If we want a different world, we must create it! For our kura that begins with us, by expecting better of every single person! Whether inside of our kura, or out in the wider Papakura community - JUST BE BETTER ! We will protect our tamariki, our kaupapa, and our whānau at all costs.
Ngā mihi,
Matua Ian
