Day 21 📍 Lalor, VIC 🐭💙
Today I made my way to Lalor, where I met the lovely Steph and all the wonderful students and families. What a beautiful little community they have here - everyone made this travelling mouse feel right at home! 🥰
I did, however, discover something slightly dangerous… there’s a deli in the same shopping centre.
A DELI. Selling CHEESE. Next door to Kip. 🧀🐭
I’m not saying I’ve found my forever centre… but Steph may need to check my suitcase before I leave. 😂
I also tried something new today — an online lesson! And guess who I got to learn with? Sotaro! 💻🙌
How great is that?! After travelling all over the country visiting Kip centres, today reminded me that you don’t even have to be in the same room to learn together, get support and feel connected.
Another centre, another wonderful Kip community… and potentially another block of cheese for the road. 🧀😉
Thanks for having me, Steph, Sotaro and the Lalor crew!

Day 20 📍 Fairfield, NSW 🐭💙
Day 20 already… I’m becoming quite the well-travelled little mouse! 🚗
Today I arrived at Fairfield, where I met the lovely Miah and immediately felt right at home.
I also made a new friend, Minh, who let me sit in and help with some of his learning. I’m not saying I’m ready to become a Kip tutor just yet… but I think I was pretty helpful! 🐭📚😂
What really stood out to me today was the lovely feeling around the centre. The families were so warm and welcoming, the students were happy to be there, and there was such a positive buzz as everyone got stuck into their learning.
There’s something pretty special about walking into a place where families feel comfortable, students feel supported and everyone seems to know each other. 💙
Thanks for making me feel part of the Fairfield family, Miah, Minh and everyone I met today!

Day 18 📍 Belconnen, ACT 🐭💙
I’ve made it to the ACT! 🚗💨
As soon as I walked through the front door at Belconnen, I spotted the HUGE Kip flag and knew I was in the right place. You really can’t miss it! 😂💙
Today I met Darshika, who might just know everything there is to know about this place. She told me she’s here every day the centre is open — now that’s someone who loves Kip!
Darshika put me straight to work helping her write up the names of all the clever students who correctly answered last week’s riddle:
“What is the name of Mickey Mouse’s dog?” 🐶🤔
Apparently, plenty of Belconnen kids knew the answer! I would have guessed “Monty”… but I’m starting to realise I may need a few Kip lessons myself. 😂
I love seeing all the little things centres do to make learning fun and give students something to look forward to each week. Riddles, challenges, celebrations — there’s always something happening!
Thanks for putting me to work, Darshika. I can see why you love being here every day! 💙

Day 17 📍 Wallsend, NSW 🐭💙
Well, look who I bumped into again… Sonia! Two centres in two days, I’m starting to think she might be following me on this road trip! 😂
Today I visited Wallsend and met Jenni, who gave me a very important job - helping choose this week’s trivia challenge for the students. 🧠
Apparently, trivia is a BIG deal around here. The students look forward to it every week, so there was a lot of pressure on this little mouse to pick some good questions! No pressure, Jenni… 😅
Watching everyone laughing, learning, challenging each other and getting excited about trivia made me realise something I keep seeing on my travels…
Kip is so much more than tutoring. 💙
It’s the little traditions students look forward to, the friendships they make, the tutors who know how to make learning fun and that feeling of walking into a place where you belong.
And if a little friendly trivia competition gets those brains working too… even better! 🏆🧠
Thanks for having me, Wallsend — and good luck with this week’s trivia. I may have snuck in a cheese question or two… 🧀😉

Well… I’ve officially made it to Bathurst!
After all this road tripping, I was hoping someone might let me do a hot lap around Mount Panorama. Apparently, my little legs, lack of a driver’s licence and questionable cornering technique ruled me out. 🏎️😂
So instead, I pulled into Kip McGrath Bathurst and met the lovely Hollie and Kate!
The students must have heard I’ve still got plenty of kilometres ahead of me because they took my travel snacks VERY seriously… CHEESE! 🧀
Forget petrol — apparently this mouse runs on cheese. The kids made sure I was well stocked for the next leg of my journey, although I may have eaten enough to require a pit stop before I even leave Bathurst. 😂
Thanks to Hollie, Kate and all my new Bathurst friends for the warm welcome, the laughs and, most importantly, keeping my cheese tank full!
Next stop… once I make it off the starting grid! 🏁🐭💙

📖✨ It's Book Week!
Reading builds more than vocabulary. It builds confidence.
Old favourites. New discoveries. All worth celebrating.
So tell us, what's your favourite book, and why?

Day 14 📍 Jordan Springs, NSW 💙
I was a little nervous when I arrived at Jordan Springs today, but I really didn’t need to be! Lucy, Rose, Joni and Aidan made me feel right at home, and I got so many fist bumps and cuddles from the kids that I quickly felt like part of the crew.
One thing I noticed today is that Kip kids really look out for each other. It didn’t matter if someone was younger, older or in a different group — everyone encouraged each other.
Jack was feeling a bit nervous about his comprehension assessment when VJ called out from across the room, “You’ve got this, Jack!” (Don’t worry, there was plenty of learning happening too! 😂)
That made me feel better about asking questions when I wasn’t sure of something. Nobody cared if I didn’t know an answer or got something wrong — they just encouraged me to keep having a go.
I think that’s what’s pretty special about Kip. When you feel like you belong, it’s much easier to feel confident enough to learn. 💙
And just when I thought my day couldn’t get any better, Tilly gave me a welcome present — her rare glow-in-the-dark Ooshie! It’s safely tucked in my pocket and coming on the rest of my adventures with me. 🥹
Thanks for making me feel like one of the gang, Jordan Springs!

🐭 Day 13 for Monty – A Visit to Bossley Park!
Today I met Cindy and Nancy at Bossley Park. They were so welcoming and immediately made me feel like part of the group!
Cindy taught me some great spelling tricks, while Nancy helped me revisit the work on clocks that Miss Shannon showed me last week. Strangely, there was still no cheese o’clock on this one either! 🧀⏰
I must have done some fantastic work, though, because they took my photo—and I’m already up to 30,000 points on the Wall of Fame!
Not bad for a little mouse! ⭐
