Getting ready for the day doesn't need to be complicated.
Comfortable clothes that can handle painting, climbing, exploring and getting a little messy are always the best choice.
Layers are perfect for August weather in Manawatลซ, helping children stay comfortable as temperatures change throughout the day ๐ฅ๏ธ
After all, the best learning often happens when children are free to move, play and explore.

Big questions = big learning
๐ญ Why does rain fall?
๐ญ Where do birds go?
๐ญ Why is water clear?
Children are natural investigators. At Massey Child Care Centre - Palmerston North, we encourage questions and exploration to help develop confidence, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.

โจ Mฤnawatia a Matariki โจ
With the official start of Matariki 2026 beginning Monday 6th of July, here's what you can expect to see and how to find the Matariki cluster.
If you're up before sunrise, look to the east to find Tautoru. From there, follow Tautoru in a line toward the north, where you will find the Matariki star cluster. Puanga will be above Tautoru.
An easy way is to look for the bright orange Mars, which sits very close to the Matariki stars this year.
If you manage to get any photos in the coming week, be sure to send them to us!
Mฤnawatia a Matariki!
