Layers are perfect for August weather in Manawatū, helping children stay comfortable as temperatures change throughout the day 🌥️

✨ Mānawatia a Matariki ✨

With the official start of Matariki 2026 beginning Monday 6th of July, here's what you can expect to see and how to find the Matariki cluster.

If you're up before sunrise, look to the east to find Tautoru. From there, follow Tautoru in a line toward the north, where you will find the Matariki star cluster. Puanga will be above Tautoru.

An easy way is to look for the bright orange Mars, which sits very close to the Matariki stars this year.
