PNBHS Foodbank Challenge

All form classes are invited to collect:
• Canned food
• Pasta and rice
• Breakfast cereals
• Long-life milk
• Other non-perishable food items

This is a wonderful chance for our school community to show the values of service, kindness, and compassion. Every item donated will assist individuals and families in Palmerston North who need a helping hand this winter.

We encourage students, families, and staff to support this worthwhile cause as we try to beat last year's total of 949 cans and set a new school record.

Parent-Teacher interviews are an opportunity for you to meet with as many of your son’s teachers as possible. They allow you to check on their academic progress in the first instance and also gain further insight into your son’s school life. Attending Parent-Teacher interviews also sends a powerful message to your son about the value you place on his education.

Bookings can be made via our web-based booking system (details below). Interviews are held in E Block, C Block, M Block (Spiers Centre) or S Block.

There are two remaining opportunities to attend Parent Teacher Interviews:
· Monday 3 August – Face-to-face interviews at PNBHS
· Thursday 6 August – ONLINE Interviews. These meetings will be run through Microsoft Teams.

You will be able to make or change your bookings at your convenience before midday the day before the scheduled interview day (midday on Friday for Monday's interviews). However, a “first come, first served” principle applies when making bookings. Parents who make their bookings first should be able to group their interviews together and should have access to all their son’s teachers. Late bookings, or last-minute changes, may result in interviews being spread or some teachers being unavailable.

Before booking interviews, please ensure you know who your son’s teachers are. We would encourage you to double-check teacher names as we do have multiple teachers who share the same surnames. These can be accessed via the Parent Portal under Details/Attendance if required. Please use your son’s first name and last name as they appear in the Parent Portal.

To make bookings please:
1. Follow the instructions to book interview times with your son’s teachers.
a. For Year 9 & 10 students: please limit these to English, Maths, Science and Social Studies and only one other subject (if required) other than Yr9 compulsory ICT; Core Modules and Yr9 and Yr10 core PE.
b. For Year 11, 12 and 13 students: select all teachers as required other than Hauora, Transition and Study.
c. Interviews with the Careers Advisor, Guidance Counsellor, Deans or Senior Master can also be made.
2. We recommend you leave at least a 5-minute gap between face-to-face interviews, 7 minutes between Online interviews.
