๐ธ SCHOOL PHOTOS ๐ธ
At the end of this term (24-25 Sept) we have Clicks Photography (based out of Tokomaru) coming to take our photos. This is a change in provider but we are confident that you will love their work!
We will be doing group photos (classes, siblings etc) on the Thursday, and then individual photos on the Friday. What a fun way to finish the term! Ordering info will be released early next term.
Home - Clicks Photography
Our business is making sure we get the best shot, even our general silliness gets the shyest children smilng. Clicks Photography is located in the Horowhenua/Manawatu area and started out by listening to families and organisations who wanted more choice in their children's school and preschool photo...

โ๐ท SANDPIT UPDATE ๐โ
Our sandpit is coming along nicely!
Yesterday we had a massive delivery of sand - thanks so much Tyler & Ridge - and today had a bunch of soldiers from 16th Field come in to help shift that into the new sandpit. Huge thank you to them and to Gavin for helping today.
And thanks to those who loaned us a wheelbarrow! If you havenโt collected yours, weโve locked them away for the weekend - we have a bit more finishing to do next week but hope to give our kids a chance to play in it soon, it is amazing!!
We still have a bit more to finish off but hope it will only another a week or so until we can officially open it. It is going to be a very popular place in our kura!
Pictured are the men from SME who have been working on this for us, ably led by Eduan Fourie. Youโre all legends.

๐๐ SCHOOL LUNCHES - GREAT START! ๐ฅช๐ฅง
We have had a great start to our new lunches with Shannon School. Their food tastes fresh and like home cooking!
We have appreciated the help of some of our senior students in serving, along with Board member Luisa - thank you all! As we have explained previously, we have changed when we eat so please do still pack a decent morning tea for your tamariki.

๐ผ๐ถ๐ฝ SENIOR KAPA VISIT TO LINTON ECE ๐ถ๐ฝ๐ผ
This morning our senior kapa haka rลpu went across the road to perform for the tamariki at Ruahine Kindergartens and Early Learning in Linton Camp.
They were the best audience and clapped so warmly for each item! Many were the younger siblings of LCS students which was super sweet to see.
Thanks for having us Nicole and team!

๐ฅช๐ฅง NEW LUNCHES! WEEK 5 MENU ๐๐
This week we are thrilled to have Shannon School coming on board to provide our lunches. Their food is awesome! Their delivery model is a little different so you will see some changes and we want you to know about them now.
School lunches will be served at 1pm - at the start of the longer playtime. Previously we have asked you to send in a snack for the afternoon break, with the school lunch in the morning. This will now be reversed. Please send in a decent morning tea for your child - if you know they will be hungry, please pack accordingly.
Lunches will be served โbuffet-styleโ rather than in individual portions. We are working out how best to do this but it will likely involve us investing in some containers to serve in that come home with your child to be cleaned (ideally by them!).
We are excited that we are able to give our tamariki fresh, healthy food!

โโMATHEX 2026โ๏ธ๐ฐ
Our four Mathex teams competed today at the annual competition at Awapuni Racecourse.
Throughout the competition, our tamariki displayed their problem-solving skills, teamwork, perseverance and determination. The competition was tough and our teams all performed so well.
Update: results are in! Yr 5, 6, and 8 won bronze awards. Our Year 7 team won a silver! Amazing.
We are really proud of all of you! Well done to everyone involved and big thanks to Miss K for organising today and helping the teams with weekly practices this term. Thanks also to Keah for helping with transport.
