🌟 Tip of the Week: When Class Feels Tough

1. Don’t let one moment define the whole class. Maybe you forgot the combination, missed a step or couldn’t quite nail that correction. Take a breath and keep going. One difficult moment doesn’t mean you’re having a bad class.

2. Focus on one thing you can improve. Instead of trying to fix everything at once, choose one small goal - your posture, your timing, your focus or one particular correction. Small wins can completely change how a tough class feels.

3. Give yourself credit for showing up. Some days your body, brain or confidence just isn’t at 100% and that’s okay. You don’t have to be perfect to make progress. Sometimes the biggest achievement is simply staying positive and giving it your best. ❤️

Sometimes dancing feels harder than it should. When the setbacks keep coming and you feel like you just can’t catch a break, remember: you don’t have to have it all together to keep moving forward. ❤️

Take it one class, one correction, one step at a time. Keep showing up, keep believing, and trust that this difficult chapter is just that, a chapter, not the whole story. ✨

Keep dancing. Your story isn’t finished yet. 🩰

Tip of the week: Making every practice count.

♥️ Focus on quality. Going through something over and over isn’t always the best way to improve. Slow it down, think about your technique and make sure you’re practising it correctly rather than simply getting it done.

💛 Repeat it with purpose. Once you’ve worked on it, repeat it a few times while keeping that correction in mind. Each repetition should have a purpose, you’re training your body to remember the improved version, not just repeating the same mistake.

♥️ Notice what improved. At the end of your practice, take a moment to recognise what felt better or easier. Progress isn’t always a huge breakthrough, sometimes it’s simply a step feeling a little more comfortable than it did yesterday. ❤️

10/08/2026

Dance isn’t about comparing your journey to someone else’s. It’s about learning, growing, taking corrections on board and celebrating the little improvements along the way.

Some days the progress will be obvious. Other days, it might be as simple as finally nailing something that didn’t work last week.

Keep showing up. Keep working. Keep growing. 💪❤️

Your only competition is the dancer you were yesterday ♥️

Tip of the Week: Learn Beyond Your Turn

Some of the most valuable learning doesn’t happen when you’re dancing, it happens when you’re watching.

💛 Observe and absorb. Pay attention to demonstrations and combinations so you’re ready to give them your best when it’s your turn.

♥️ Listen to every correction. Even if the feedback isn’t directed at you, chances are it can improve your own dancing too.

💛 Stay engaged while you wait. Mark choreography quietly, visualise yourself dancing, or think about how you’ll apply what you’ve just seen when it’s your turn.

Why it matters: Great dancers are always learning. Every demonstration, every correction, and every dancer in the room has something to teach you.

🎭 Choreography Challenge 2026 🎭

Calling all creative dancers!

Our annual Choreography Challenge is back, and this year it's bigger than ever! Whether you want to create a solo or a group performance, this is your chance to bring your ideas to life.

Choose your music, tell a story, create movement that inspires, and share your own original choreography with an audience. Remember, it's not about having the biggest tricks or the strongest dancers; it's about creating a performance that captures hearts, tells a story, and leaves a lasting impression.

The winning choreography will be chosen by a live audience vote, so think about how you can connect with your audience through creativity, emotion, and performance.

🏆 Every choreographer who enters will earn House Points for their House, and the winning choreographer will be awarded the Choreography Challenge Cup, along with a bonus House Point award for their team.

Challenge yourself, support your fellow choreographers, and most importantly… have fun creating!

Every step you take in class has a purpose. đź’™

Some days you’ll see big improvements, and other days the progress is happening quietly behind the scenes. Trust your training, embrace the corrections, and remember that consistency is what builds confident, capable dancers.

Keep showing up. Keep believing in yourself. Your hard work will always be worth it. ✨

✨ Tip of the Week: Making the Most of Exam Season ✨

Exam season is officially underway, which means every class is a chance to learn, improve, and grow! Remember that progress comes from being prepared, focused, and making the most of every correction.

đź’› Bring a notebook to class. A small notebook can make a huge difference during exam preparation. Write down corrections, new terminology, things to practise at home, or reminders from your teacher so you don't forget those important details between classes.

❤ Listen, watch, and apply corrections. Corrections are one of the most valuable parts of your training. Don’t just hear the feedback, take the time to understand it and apply it in your dancing. Every correction is an opportunity to become a stronger, more confident dancer.

đź’›Celebrate progress. Exam work is about growth. Some things will feel challenging, and that's okay! Keep showing up, keep practising, and trust that every class is helping you move closer to your goals.

✨ Remember: the dancers who improve the most are the ones who are willing to learn, adapt, and keep trying.
