PREP, PASSION & PURPOSE! What an epic community effort yesterday at our Social Action Bake Sale!

Our courtyard outside was buzzing yesterday as our Year 10 Social Studies students put their learning into action, running a full-scale market event to support worthy charities across the motu!

From icing cakes and managing stalls to keeping track of finances, our students showed fantastic leadership, problem-solving, and teamwork. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our students, staff, and families who donated and bought up large, a fantastic amount of money was raised for causes that make a real difference across Aotearoa.

An event like this doesn't just happen, it takes a true village. A massive thank you to: Our amazing Year 10’s who put in the hard yards and showed true hustle. Our passionate teaching staff who went the extra mile with setup, logistics, and supervision. Our wider community for getting into the spirit and backing our young people!

We are so proud of the citizenship and heart on display. Together, we make a difference!

From football to table tennis, fencing, brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and everywhere in between - our student athletes have been celebrated for all of their efforts in our school assembly today. ⚽️🏓🤺🥋

Congratulations to Year 10 for a wonderful retreat today. Your positive attitude and great participation made for a fun day for us all. ‘Stepping up and Stepping Out’ was our theme on the ‘Retreat Mountain of our Lord’. The activities included: meditation, joining the Cathedral parish for midday mass, a values auction, Cathedral tour and school values role plays. A huge thank you to the Chaplaincy team and staff who attended.

Celebrating Tagata Moana Festival 2026! 🌺✨
What an unforgettable evening at the Michael Fowler Centre in Wellington for the Tagata Moana Festival! While we didn't take home a placing this time around, taking the stage in such a prestigious competition was an absolute honour in itself. Just qualifying and performing alongside the best talent in the region is a huge milestone for our school!

Come along to our Performing Arts Night!

This morning, our Year 8 students brought their absolute best to a hotly contested competition! A massive thank you to David Hanson and Tammy Cu***ng (CPT) for running such a wonderful event, and to our fantastic judging panel, Steve Ackerman, Theresa Wheeler, Beth Price, and Livvy Watson, for taking on the tough task of selecting our winners.

A special shoutout to our wonderful FNS teachers for continuously creating such amazing opportunities for our intermediate students to shine!

Social Action Week!

🎉 UPDATE — $1,000 RAISED FOR I AM HOPE! 🎉

What an incredible result! The students raised $400, Four Square Hokowhitu matched it with another $400, and Team Robinson Real Estate - Jess & Ian Robinson generously donated another $200. 💚

Our two senior music classes were incredibly lucky to have Matua Matt come into our classes today to share his amazing collection of taonga pūoro. Matua played the instruments for the students so they could hear the different sounds they made, but he also shared valuable matauranga (knowledge) about how they are made and the special meaning and (pūrakau) stories behind them.

The students appreciated learning about these special taonga, and especially enjoyed being allowed to play the instruments themselves.

Massive thanks to Matt for such a fantastic opportunity to learn about music through the lens of te ao Māori in such a practical way.'
