Kia ora, Parents & Caregivers

I hope you have enjoyed the holiday break with your children and that they are refreshed and ready for a big term ahead. We have a busy term planned with our students diving into the powerful world of natural phenomena. Through hands-on activities, they will explore the science behind earthquakes, floods, volcanoes and landslides. They’ll discover how these forces shape our planet and learn how communities stay safe. Get ready for some amazing discoveries! We look forward to sharing this learning during the evening of Wednesday, 16 September. More information will be sent home during the term about this event.

Included in this post is some important information to help the start of Term 3 to go smoothly. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me via email [email protected] or phone 027 637 4925.

Korero ki to Whānau - Conversations with our families
We are excited about the opportunity to meet with every family to discuss the learning of their child/children. We see Korero ki to whānau - Conversations with our families as the best opportunity to share your child’s learning, listen to what you have observed at home and set goals for the next 17 weeks of learning. With the new reporting language, it will be a great opportunity to clarify any language used in the mid year reports. You will be meeting with your child’s whānau teacher. We strongly encourage every family to engage with the conversations. Korero ki to Whānau - Conversations with our families is scheduled for Tuesday 28 July 3:15 pm - 7:30 pm and Wednesday 29 July 3:15 pm - 6:30 pm.

To book your child’s conversation please go to your Hero app. If you need any help Suzette can book for you. Simply give her a call on 06 357 9950 or pop into the office.

Booking for interviews are set on a first come first serve basis so please don’t delay if you need to book a specific time.
