We are excited to announce the upcoming Massey University Institute of Development Studies Webinar which will be given by Christine Young on Friday 21st August. Christine is a PhD student in the School of People, Environment and Planning at Massey University, and the Managing Director for Green Caribe Consulting. She will share some key challenges to sustainability for Small Island Developing states (Caribbean focus) and ways in which they are creatively overcoming some of these challenges in the region.

Gerard is an associate professor in Development Studies at Massey University (Manawatū) and will share the context, purpose, and practices of trilateral cooperation. He will also outline how Massey PhD students can engage with the Triangular Global Fieldwork Laboratory.

Breaking news that won't surprise our MSDG students and graduates 🎓... Massey was ranked 132nd in the world 🌎 (out of 8000+ universities) for Sustainability in the QS World Rankings, announced yesterday!!

Given that, it's also not surprising to see that 11 of our crew, along with a few other volunteers, joined "Green Corridors" to do some streamside planting of native trees on the edge of the Massey campus on this lovely wintery afternoon. Prof Glenn Banks also joined them, and over 500 trees were planted.

Woohoo! It's awesome to see what we can do collectively to enhance the well-being of people and planet!! 🌳🪾🌲🪏🪏🪏

Q: When does success leave you feeling a little bit sad? A: when it means your students have completed their Master's degree and will soon be leaving campus/departing for far away places!

Congratulations to Ollie, Fidelis, Raja, Mak, Lakhmini and Pramod who have all recently finished their Master of SDGs 🤩👌🏆💪🙌

It was Auckland's turn for graduation yesterday, and we couldn't be prouder of Daena Moller and Nicole Stanton who crossed the stage to receive their MSDGs there! Daena (photos below) reflected "My favourite part was walking in the graduation procession with five of my tamariki by my side. Their presence reminded me exactly why this journey mattered." We love how our graduates are all planning to make a positive difference to people and planet through their work!

Huge congratulations to our five master of SDG graduates who crossed the stage in Palmerston North today!! that is, Isabel, Shova, Sophie, Donna and Murray. Two weeks ago we also had Cat and Ally graduating in Wellington, and coming up we have Issie, Nicole, and Daena graduating in Auckland. Here's a few glimpses of the celebrations...
