Our before game music set the scene for an epic game against Horowhenua College. Both teams wanted the win bad today and we knew how each other played as we play each other in our school comp!

It was an epic game and we got the draw 2 all at full time. Pandemonium moment went to the stroke penalty, which we scored a goal from!

Both Horowhenua and us finish led pool play on the same points, but due to goal difference from yesterday's game we finished our pool play 3rd!

Off to play Newlands on Thursday at 9am.

Thank you again for all the support, we had a lot on the sideline today and we appreciate this so much!

🏇 Winter Tournament- Honey Aspinall - Eventing

Still waiting on the official results from yesterday's class in Arena Eventing, but we’re pretty sure we’ve snuck into the Top 10!, So now it’s just a matter of waiting for those results to become official!

On Monday, we tackled the (CTR) Combined Training Ride, and Millie was an absolute superstar. She was so well behaved and gave it her best, even though we unfortunately finished just outside the placings.

Today, we’re back in the arena for two rounds of jumping, so fingers crossed for some good rounds and, of course, a bit of luck!

So proud of my girl and how she’s handled everything so far.

Day 2 at Lower North Island Hockey Tournament -

A big first game up against St John's College 1st XI
Boys, we had seen they had a big win the day before, so we knew we had to come out strong!
And that we did, we worked and played our best hockey so far. Our teamwork was really strong and before half time it was 5-0 to St John's. However we continued to work hard and kept it 1 all in the second half. 6 - 1 to St John's, this was an awesome effort from TC.

After a delicious lunch and home made baking back at camp, we were refreshed for an afternoon game. Playing Gisborne Boys 2nds we knew we had to get some goals on the board to stay in the game. Successfully we managed to get the win 10 - 0 against a young team. We congratulated Gisborne on their determination and stamina for the game.

TC 1ST XI HOCKEY - TOURNAMENT DAY 1

1st game up and we were up against our friends Kuranui College. The gusty wind played a big part here in Levin. We knew what we needed to do and we went out on to the turf hard. With good defence and some good opportunities at goal. We didn’t put any goals in, but we kept alot out!
Kuranui took the win 3 - 0.

Tomorrow we have St John's College Hastings at 10.20am.

Level 2 Health had the pleasure of interviewing Sam Tipene this week. Students are researching the various health practices used in New Zealand to treat health conditions. Fortunately for us, Sam has experienced many injuries during her rugby career playing for the Cyclones, Hurricanes and for clubs in Hong Kong and Australia, that have required the use of a number of these practices!

Another great week of interhouse battles, this week it was football. There were some amazing goals scored through the week and it was fantastic to see so many students out supporting the teams on the sideline, some great banter by them all.

It came down to goals scored to work out the finalists but Kowhai and Matai battled it out with Kowhai winning 2 - 0 in the final game.
Final results were: 1st - Kowhai
2nd - Matai
3rd - Rimu
4th - Totara

Thankyou to Mr Cleghorn refing for the week (he even had yellow & red cards at the ready for finals) and of course to Miriama Richards (sports leader) for organising another great event.
