🌿 Our Farewell Tree 🌿
A beautiful new addition has blossomed in our hallway thanks to the creativity and care of our wonderful kaiako, Izzy.
Our Farewell Tree is a special way for us to celebrate the journeys of our tamariki and kaiako as they move on to their next adventure. When someone leaves Tamariki Station, their korowai photo will be placed on a leaf of the tree, creating a lasting reminder of the connections, memories, and aroha shared within our centre.
This tree represents the growth of our tamariki, the strength of our community, and the knowledge that no matter where life takes them, they will always be a valued part of our Tamariki Station whānau. 💚
Ngā mihi nui to Izzy for creating such a meaningful and beautiful display for everyone to enjoy.

“ Those who teach the most about humanity aren’t always human”

Some times we forget how blessed we are
With our space and opportunities our children have here at Tamariki Station Ainslie.

The Sun was shining today and we made the most of enjoying our green grass, trees and hill but the most exciting was the cows right there wanting to play.

Help we need a new lawn mower superstar!!!

After 9 years our lawnmower superman is winding up and we are in search of another super person to keep our childcare centres lawns under control.

Please be aware there are two lawns in Paeroa and they do need to be mowed after hours (4pm weekdays) or any time over the weekend. 1 requires the clippings to be taken away

Please message Erin on 0275 710 424 if you can fill these awesome boots.

An exciting day to be at Tamariki Station Ainslie today! The little yellow digger came to town!

What an exciting surprise we had today! The farmer paid us a visit and brought his digger into the paddock to help move one of our trees 🌳 that had fallen over. The tamariki were fascinated as they watched the digger carefully lift and transport the tree. There were lots of excited faces and conversations about how the machinery worked!
To make the visit even more special, the digger arrived on a tractor 🚜 , which was another highlight for our tamariki. The cows 🐮 also wandered over to the fence to say hello, giving the tamariki a chance to observe them up close.

Our tamariki have been busy caring for our fruit forest by helping to spread mulch around the trees 🌳 . As they worked together, they learned about the importance of looking after our environment and how mulch helps keep the soil healthy, retain moisture, and support our trees as they continue to grow and thrive.
The children take great pride in caring for our centre and love being involved in meaningful, hands on experiences that contribute to our shared spaces. We even brought some mulch indoors, where the tamariki used it creatively to build a dinosaur house 🦖 , extending their learning through imaginative play.
