In loving memory of our dear Uncle David,

Uncle David was a pillar of strength in the Otara community. His presence was a blessing to all who knew him, and his impact on our lives will never be forgotten. Growing up in Tosca Otara, Uncle David was like a second father to us all. He was always there to lend a helping hand, offer words of wisdom, and share his experiences laughter.

Uncle David was a man of integrity, kindness, and compassion. He touched the lives of so many with his generosity and warmth. Whether it was organizing community events, mentoring the youth, or simply being a listening ear, Uncle David was always there for us.

His legacy lives on in the hearts of all those he touched, and his memory will forever be cherished. Uncle David was a true blessing to the Otara community, and we are grateful for the love and wisdom he shared with us all.

This page is dedicated to Uncle David, a beloved member of our community and a cherished friend. May his wairua continue to inspire us and guide us in all that we do. Rest in peace, Uncle David, until we meet again in the afterlife RIP ❤️🙏🏽❤️

Kia Ora whanau

Yesterday we gathered to farewell to a beloved member of our our Whanau. Great grandfather, grandfather, father, brother, cousin and Uncle. I first met uncle David back in 1975 when we were growing up in Tosca. He was always the life of the party, hard man with a smile and a heart of gold.

All Uncle David's whanau and friends shared beautiful memories while we celebrated his life and we all found comfort in the memories we shared.
Uncle David was was always forgiving and full of kindness.

As we said our final goodbyes to Uncle David, we will all remember the joy he brought into our lives and the love he shared with us all. May his wairua live on in our hearts forever.

Rest in peace, Uncle David. You will be deeply missed by many ❤️🙏🏽❤️

Growing up in Otara Tosca was a unique and special experience. Our street was more than just a neighborhood - it was a whanau that came to together. We grew up in the hood, but it was a place where everyone looked out for each other and supported one another through thick and thin.

The bonds we formed on that street were unlike anything we had ever experienced. We shared Kai, celebrated birthdays, and created lifelong memories together. From playing tag, crash, rugby, cricket, softball in the front to late-night korero on the street was a place where we all felt safe and loved.

Despite the challenges we faced growing up in Otara Tosca, the sense of community and togetherness that we shared with our neighbors made it all worth it. We learned the value of friendship, loyalty, and compassion from those around us, and those lessons have stayed with us throughout our lives.

Otara Tosca may have been a gangster but humble neighborhood, it was a place where we learned the true meaning of Whanau. Our street may have been small, but the Aroha and support we received from each other made it feel like home.
