Every week the tamariki will have the opportunity to participate in a baking experience. Over the past few weeks we have made, cookies, banana Sago, scones, cupcakes, scrambled eggs and spagetti on toast along with freshly made orange juice with the oranges from whaea Michelle’s tree. Baking encourages the children to take turns and share, extend their communication and language skills, develop confidence and independence, understand maths and literacy concepts along with developing and extending fine motor and manipulative skills. Lots of wonderful learning opportunities for our tamariki here.

Matariki Celebrations tomorrow at White Heron.
Please come and join us for our Matariki concert at 10.00am followed by morning tea. The children have been very busy preparing the vegetables for our soup.
