A Special Thank You to Our Filipino Community!

Our Filipino Language Week celebration would not have been as special without the wonderful support of our small Filipino community here at the centre.

A heartfelt Maraming Salamat to our Filipino teachers, Teacher Marilyn and Teacher Lorie, our wonderful Pinoy families, Gil & Teo’s whānau and Vince Reve’s whānau, and our Filipino Support Worker, Teacher Giselle, for coming together to make our celebration extra special.

We are so grateful for your generosity in sharing delicious Filipino food with our tamariki, giving them the opportunity to taste and experience a little piece of Filipino culture.

Thank you for sharing not only your food, but also your language, culture, stories, and love with our centre community. It was beautiful to see everyone come together and celebrate our Filipino heritage.

Mabuhay! Celebrating Filipino Language Week! 🇵🇭

Our centre came alive with Filipino language, culture, music, and lots of fun! Our tamariki enjoyed learning simple Filipino words and greetings, singing Filipino songs, and discovering more about the rich and beautiful culture of the Philippines.

It was a lovely opportunity for our children and whānau to share, connect, and celebrate the beauty of language and culture together.

We’re excited to celebrate Filipino Language Week on August 28, 2026!

Our little Pinoys will enjoy a fun-filled celebration of Filipino language, traditions, culture, and delicious Pinoy food!

A little reminder for our tamariki: Please make sure your child wears ANY COLOR OF THE PHILIPPINE FLAG - red, blue, yellow, or white! Let’s fill our center with Filipino pride, laughter, learning, and lots of fun!

This morning, we warmly invite you to join us for our mat time as we celebrate and farewell our wonderful Centre Manager, Angeline, on her last day with us.

Angeline has been a valued part of our centre, and we'd love for our tamariki, whānau, and team to come together to thank her for her dedication, care, and the positive impact she's had on our community.

A Special Matariki Memory 🌌⭐

A little late, but too special not to share!

Last Matariki, our Blossoms whānau came together for a magical evening of stargazing, celebrating the Māori New Year. It was a wonderful opportunity for our tamariki and whānau to look up at the night sky, learn about the Matariki stars, and spend quality time together as a community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the evening so memorable. Your presence, smiles, and shared moments reminded us of the true spirit of Matariki—reflection, connection, gratitude, and hope for the year ahead.

Though this post comes a little later, the memories continue to shine just as brightly as the stars above. ✨
