Toi Whakarākai have a 2020 Maramataka (very limited stock available0 for purchase that highlights weaving and carving produced by tutors and associated artists. The Maramataka has a 'CD' style presentation and an example of a beautiful kete woven by Elaine Bevan. $10 each plus $5.50 post (or pick up from Otaki). Please PM to purchase. Te Matatini was mean! The kākahu, weaponry and taonga puoro especially were a focus for us here at Toi Whakarākai.

Some kaitātaki or kaihaka wore shoulder capes. We can teach you how to make shoulder capes/hieke in our Heke/Diploma programme, in your first year of studies. For Te Matatini, for your child's wharekura kapa haka or a taonga for your whānau....weaving is in demand....studies start March 14th....
