Our Busy Bees centres celebrated Book Week in their own special ways, bringing the magic of stories to life through dress-ups, storytelling, shared reading, creative experiences and imaginative play.

Through our Bee Curious Curriculum, literacy is woven into everyday learning, giving tamariki opportunities to explore language, stories and ideas while building confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.

From favourite books to new adventures, every story is an opportunity to wonder, imagine and discover. 📚✨

A result worth celebrating! 🎉

Embedded. A wonderful result for Busy Bees Aotearoa!
We’re incredibly proud to share the outcome of our ERO Governing Organisation Evaluation for Organisational and Learning Conditions, where we were recognised as Embedded. This result is about so much more than a rating. It reflects the progress we’ve made together as an organisation, strengthening leadership, investing in our kaiako, building meaningful partnerships with whānau, and creating greater consistency in high-quality learning across Busy Bees Aotearoa.
ERO recognised the significant progress we’ve made since our 2023 evaluation, including our strategic direction, our Bee Curious / Kia Pākīki curriculum framework, our commitment to whanaungatanga and culturally responsive practice, and our continued focus on leadership capability and professional learning.

A huge thank you to our incredible people across Busy Bees Aotearoa. This is your achievement, and it’s one worth celebrating!

Connecting Hearts Across the Globe 💛

Our kohuri room tamariki at Busy Bees Brooklyn were thrilled to receive a surprise visit and a beautiful package from their new pen pals at Busy Bees Preston East from our Australia Busy Bees Early Learning, hand-delivered by one of their wonderful teachers while visiting New Zealand.
Being part of the Busy Bees global community creates opportunities for special experiences like this, giving our tamariki the chance to build meaningful connections with children from around the world. As they explored the thoughtful gifts and learned more about their friends across the Tasman, they sparked curiosity, strengthened communication, and discovered that friendships can reach far beyond their own community.

Across Busy Bees, our tamariki, whānau, and kaiako came together to celebrate Matariki with centre events filled with connection, reflection, and fun. From sharing kai and enjoying activities together to celebrating the values and traditions of Matariki, it was a special opportunity to strengthen relationships and create lasting memories as a community.

Thank you to our families who joined us and made these celebrations so meaningful. Here's to remembering our past, cherished connections, and the year ahead.

The FIFA World Cup excitement has arrived at Busy Bees!

Our tamariki have been embracing the excitement through active play, kicking goals, building coordination and developing teamwork skills. This has been a fantastic way to incorporate our MOVE programme focus on fundamental movement skills such as kicking, coordination, balance and agility through fun football-based play.

Who knew we had so many future football stars in our centres? ⚽

Happy World Bee Day!!! 🐝 Did you know, to make just 1kg of honey, a hive’s foraging bees fly the equivalent of circling the globe around four times! (That’s nearly 150,000km for one delicious jar of honey) 🍯

Bees are more than just part of our name - they represent community, teamwork, growth and the important role even the smallest beings play in helping our world thrive. 🌻

We are celebrating with a giveaway!
One lucky family will win a beautiful bee-inspired prize pack filled with books, seeds, Beeswax wraps and more.

Today we pause to honour the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who served, and those who never returned home.

We remember the soldiers of Aotearoa and Australia who landed at Gallipoli, and acknowledge the whānau who continue to carry their memory. A time for reflection, gratitude, and respect for the lives given in service and those who served.
