🥉 A Very Special Assembly Guest!

Today we were so lucky to have our very own Eva Langton join us at Assembly!

Eva shared her incredible Commonwealth Games experience with us and even gave everyone the chance to see what a Bronze Medal looks like up close!

To make it even more special, Eva also helped us distribute all of our certificates to our students.

You are an absolute superstar, Eva! Thank you for sharing your experience and inspiring us all!

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Mt Spa Championship Cross Country!

A huge well done to our 25 students who represented St Joseph’s at the Mt Spa Championship Cross Country event down in Manaia!

Our kids ran their hearts out, showing incredible determination, resilience and sportsmanship while representing our school with such pride. We are incredibly proud of every single one of you!

A special mention to our five boys who competed in the 9 Years and Under race — every single one of them finished in the top six! What an incredible achievement!

Congratulations to all our runners — you should be extremely proud of yourselves!

A Blast from the Past: Taranaki Pioneer Village Trip 2026. What an exciting experience for our St Joseph’s students who had a fantastic time exploring Taranaki Pioneer Village today, stepping back in time and discovering what life was like in the past.
There were plenty of great learning experiences, interesting sights and lots of fun along the way! A huge thank you to our staff team and our parents for helping to make this day a success. A valuable day of learning outside of the classroom.

Science Fair Success! A little bit late, but definitely worthy of a celebration!
Congratulations to our 11 Year 7 and 8 students who have earned recognition at the Elemental Group Taranaki Science and Technology Fair for their diligent efforts with their Scientific Investigations.

Congratulations to Isla Brown & Charlotte Campbell, Anneliese Langton, Celeste Langton & Lucia Gorgievski, Georgina Mullin & Katelyn Cripps, Jadyn Taylor & Alexander Torres, and Aaradhya Tyagi & Shakyla Young.
We are going to have a special celebration for them all in this weeks assembly.

A huge shout-out also to Ms Parker for her tireless efforts and dedication in supporting our students. We are especially proud of her success in securing a fantastic $1,000 prize for our school in recognition of our efforts in the Scientific Investigation category for 2026!

What an awesome achievement for our students and school. We are incredibly proud of you all!

We just want to say a massive congratulations to one of our former students - Eva Langton (2004-2011) who tomorrow will be representing New Zealand in the 3 v 3 Basketball event at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
What an amazing achievement and opportunity! We know you will represent both Opunake and New Zealand proudly. 🇳🇿
