Te Wiki o te Reo Māori:
This week we are proud to celebrate Te Wiki o te Reo Māori, marking the 51st year of this iconic national event across Aotearoa! This year’s official theme, Ake, Ake, Ake – A Forever Language, carries a special focus on Te Reo Towns—highlighting the importance of bringing te reo Māori into our everyday spaces. Whether in the places we live, work, or gather, normalizing te reo in our daily lives ensures the language continues to adapt, grow, and thrive for generations to come.
Throughout the week, our tamariki will be participating in classroom activities, waiata, and everyday kōrero as we encourage them to proudly embrace and normalize one of our country's official languages. We invite all of our whānau and school community to give it a go at home too—whether it’s giving a new greeting a try, learning a daily phrase together, or practicing local place names!

SCHOOL PERFORMING ARTS DAY! ✨🎭
Our tamariki have been working immensely hard all term, polishing their routines and rehearsing their items for our upcoming Performing Arts Day! They are so excited to take to the stage and show off their incredible talents in front of our school community. Come along, whānau, and help us celebrate our students' creativity, passion, and hard work!

📅 When: Friday, 18th September (Back-up day, Tuesday 22nd of September)
⏰ Time: 11:30 AM - 1.00pm
📍 Where: School Astro-Turf & Outdoor Stage

Our AIMS netballers are on their way and will be at school at around 3.30pm. We have a pair of bowlers, Hariata and Heaven who will be playing off for bronze so our bowlers will return when they finish and are expected to be back by around 5pm.

Team Arrival Update.

Our Netball Team is due to arrive back at school between 2:30pm–3:00pm today.

Our Bowlers are expected back around 5:00pm.
Please keep an eye on our page for any updates regarding arrival times.

Bowlers.
Hariata and Heaven are now playing in the top 8.

Our netballers played 2 very intense games losing both by small margins. Games apopo are 8am and 12pm we are playing off for 5th to 8th.

Bowls team.
Our bowlers bowled well this morning, Paris Smith made the top 16.
All students are playing their pairs at 1.30pm.

Dayton finished 8th today. He has played well all tournament.
All athletes have been giving 110% effort in all their games.

Today was a great day for all. Netballers had 1 win and 1 loss. They are now playing in the top 8 in A grade. Dayton shot 46, 2 better than yesterday. We finished our day off at Rocktopia and the pools.

Games for apopo.
Bowlers start at 8.30am
Golfer tees off at 7.30am at Omokoroa
Netball 1st game at 9 against Peachgrove int
2nd game at 4.30pm against Henderson.

Great game against Pauatahanui kura this morning with everyone taking the court. Our children came away with a good win....
