2026 Audrey Timlin Memorial Hockey – Timaru

So proud of the effort from our girls today. Avonside came away with the win, but Waitaki battled hard, worked for each other, and left absolutely everything out on the turf.

Tomorrow they take on Lincoln High School at 12:30pm, playing for 7th/8th place in their final game of the tournament.

One last push, girls — finish strong and give it everything! 💪🏑❤️🖤

Netball SISS

Day 4
We started our final day with a very early breakfast before an 8.15am game against Nayland College. The team had a great game coming away with the win 41-30. We then played Marian College for the 13th spot. The team played extremely hard and had to grind to get the win 35-34. We are so proud of our team who have worked so hard this week and been exceptional both on and off the court!

We want to acknowledge our Year 13 players who put on the dress for their final games today. Ruby Fox, Bella Firman, Shayla Campbell, and Matilda Chilton. You have been absolute assets to Waitaki Girls’ netball over the years. You can all be so proud of your time and we wish you the absolute best!

We want to say a huge thank you to Aimee Jones for coming along as our umpire! We are so grateful for you giving up your time!

A big thank you to RJ Fox for being an amazing camp mum making sure the team is well fed and always looked after! You go above and beyond and we are extremely lucky to have you!

Thanks to Morgan Kinzett for all her work behind the scenes to help us get to tournament! You are awesome!

Thanks to Abbey Mckenzie and Lauren Hueppauff for coaching the group. We appreciate your time and effort put into the group over the week and season!

🏇 SISS Equestrian – Christchurch 🏇

This week, Jane Paton-Smith and Alizae Tillard are competing in Christchurch at the SISS Equestrian Event.

So far, both girls are very happy with their performances and are doing an amazing job representing Waitaki! 👏

Jane was especially impressed with her horse’s result in Dressage, with this being his first time competing at Level 2. He remained calm, relaxed and focused throughout their test — a fantastic achievement! 🐴✨

Well done, Jane and Alizae! We are so proud of you both. Keep up the great work and enjoy the rest of the competition! 💙

Netball SISS

Day 3, We started our day with a walk on the beach to stretch our legs for our first game against St Hilda’s. We put up a fight but sadly the game went to St Hilda’s with the final score of 30-60. We regathered and got ready for our next game against Villa Maria. The girls got ready to give this game their all and push hard till the end. Unfortunately this game didn’t go our way and we lost 23-37. This game was well fought and the girls can be proud of how they played. We now rest and reset ready for our games tomorrow ❤️🖤

Netball SISS

Day 2 wrap up:
We started off with a really hard grind against St Margaret’s first up this morning. The team worked so hard and played some exceptional netball! It was so exciting seeing the group come together and play as a unit. St Margaret’s pulled away in the last quarter getting the win 38-30. We then recovered before moving onto our second game against Christchurch Girls’ High School. Christchurch girls took the win 42-28. This was another tough battle with some great moments and learnings to take with us tomorrow where we go against St Hilda’s at 11.30.

🎶✨ What a wonderful evening of music! ✨🎶

Tonight’s concert was a fantastic success, bringing together talented singers and musicians in a beautiful celebration of music and community.

A huge congratulations to everyone involved in making the evening so special, and a warm welcome to the Sisters of the Church as they continue their Concert Tour 2026. We wish them continued success as they take their music to audiences across the South Island! 🎶
