Padrae Brown, aged 24, born of the crops of Hineāmuru and the winds of the north, descends from a long line of leaders in Ngāti Hine and Ngāpuhi-nui-tonu. He has been consecrated from a young age to be a leader in his community, following in the footsteps of his forebearers by paving new pathways and future-proofing Māori culture for future generations.

Ka haere tonu tātou ki te kōrero i o tātou kōrero tuku iho, ki te kōrero i tō tātou reo, ki te whakanui i a rātou kua haere atu i mua i a tātou ki te korowai o Ranginui.

Tāhuhu Stories is a platform for capturing our cultural histories, a place to remember our past, and celebrate who we are and where we come from.

On Waitangi Day 2024, we will release our first two documentary shorts that tell local stories of national significance. Produced in 2022, these documentaries have travelled the world to film festivals in 2023.

Official Selection Māoriland Film Festival 2023,

Māreikura and Ati-ā-Toa will screen at Māoriland, Ōtaki. The festival runs from 15 - 19 March 2023. Check out our films on their festival haerenga and let whānau in Kapati and Pōneke know to get along to the screening.

We are at FULL CAPACITY for the premiere screening tomorrow.

We encourage manuhiri to arrive at least 15 minutes beforehand to allow time to check in at the main entrance and make your way to Tahuaroa Function Centre.

Groups should allow more time to process names on the guestlist.

The event starts at 1pm sharp.
